Treasure Planet was released by Walt Disney Feature Animation in November 2002, representing one of the studio's most ambitious productions of the era. A science fiction reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, the film combined traditional hand-drawn character animation with extensive CGI environments. Though it performed modestly at the box office, it has earned a devoted following for its visual inventiveness and emotional sincerity, and original 35mm elements from the production carry genuine historical weight.

This cell, titled Jim and Morph, captures Jim Hawkins from an overhead angle within a darkened interior space aboard the RLS Legacy. The small shapeshifting companion Morph appears alongside him across the sequence, though not in every frame. The downward perspective gives the strip an intimate, almost voyeuristic quality, preserving a quiet character moment between the film's young protagonist and his playful companion.
