Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, a bold reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transposed to a science-fiction seafaring universe. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film represented one of the studio's most ambitious technical undertakings of the era, blending traditional hand-drawn animation with computer-generated environments. Though its theatrical run proved modest, it has since earned genuine appreciation for its visual ambition and emotional depth.

This cell, titled Jim Hawkins on the RLS Legacy, captures Jim Hawkins among the rigging of the solar galleon, with Long John Silver present in the sequence. The warm amber tones characteristic of the film's space-sailing aesthetic saturate the frame, and the dramatic angle conveys the kinetic energy of one of the story's pivotal action passages.
