Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, a bold reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transposed to an interstellar setting. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film represented one of the studio's most ambitious productions of the era, blending traditional hand-drawn animation with extensive CGI environments and a distinctive steampunk aesthetic that set it apart from its contemporaries.

This cell, titled Captain Flint's Ship, captures the RLS Legacy in a sustained exterior passage, the spacecraft photographed from below and to the side against a deep nebula field. The vessel's hull emblem and golden solar sail rigging register with particular clarity across the sequence of frames, offering a composed record of the film's signature ship design as it appeared on 35mm release prints.
