Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, representing one of the studio's most ambitious late-era traditionally animated productions. Directors Ron Clements and John Musker transposed Robert Louis Stevenson's classic seafaring novel into a retro-futurist cosmos, blending hand-drawn characters with extensive CGI environments. Released during a transitional period for Disney animation, the film found a devoted audience over time despite a difficult theatrical run, and is now recognized for its visual inventiveness and emotional sincerity.

These three consecutive frames capture Jim Hawkins mid-ride on his solar surfer, suspended in a warmly lit interior space framed by heavy wooden beams overhead. The amber glow rising beneath him gives the sequence a distinctly theatrical quality, isolating the character in a moment of kinetic solitude that defines much of his arc throughout the film.
