Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Animation Studios, representing one of the studio's most ambitious reimaginings of a literary classic. Adapting Robert Louis Stevenson's novel into a science-fiction setting, the film blended traditional hand-drawn character animation with extensive CGI environments. Released during a transitional period for Disney animation, it has since earned a devoted following for its visual ambition, emotional depth, and the striking design work that defined its aesthetic.
