Universal Pictures released The Fast and the Furious in June 2001, arriving at a moment when street racing culture was crossing into mainstream American consciousness. Directed by Rob Cohen and produced on a modest budget, the film became a surprise box office phenomenon and launched one of cinema's most enduring franchises. Its influence on action filmmaking, car culture, and ensemble storytelling proved far-reaching and lasting.

This cell, titled Dominic Toretto, captures Vin Diesel in close profile against a near-black background across three consecutive 35mm frames. The sequence shows subtle variations in expression and light, with the third frame carrying a visible lens flare that gives it a distinctive quality.
