Universal Pictures released The Fast and the Furious in June 2001, directed by Rob Cohen and produced under Neal Moritz's Original Film banner. Drawing from a Vibe magazine article about street racing culture in New York, the film launched one of cinema's most enduring franchises. Shot on 35mm, it captured the underground racing world of Los Angeles with a kinetic energy that resonated strongly with audiences and redefined the action genre for a new generation.

This cell, titled Hector and Crew, preserves three consecutive frames from a street racing gathering sequence featuring Hector, portrayed by Noel Gugliemi. The frames follow Hector among the assembled crowd, offering a ground-level view of the communal world surrounding the racing scene that gives the film much of its texture and atmosphere.
