New Line Cinema released Freddy vs. Jason in August 2003, bringing together the two most recognizable figures in slasher cinema after nearly a decade of development. The crossover drew from the A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises, both of which had defined horror for an entire generation, and delivered one of the studio's strongest openings of that year. It remains a cultural landmark of early 2000s genre filmmaking.

This 35mm cell captures three frames from the Freddy vs. Jason title card sequence, preserving the film's opening logo presentation against its distinctive dark blue atmospheric background with shadowy silhouette imagery. The circular watermark overlay visible in the third frame is consistent with release print identification. As a confirmed title card cell, it represents the precise moment audiences first encountered the film's signature branding on screen.
