New Line Cinema released Freddy vs. Jason in August 2003, bringing together two of horror's most enduring icons after nearly a decade of development. Directed by Ronny Yu, the film became a box office success and a cultural milestone for genre fans who had waited years to see the crossover realized on screen. It remains a defining entry in early 2000s horror and a capstone for both the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises.

Despite the confirmed cell title of Jason Close-Up, these three consecutive 35mm frames capture an extreme close-up of Freddy Krueger's burned and scarred face, his hollow eye sockets filling the frame in striking detail. The sequential nature of the frames offers a rare glimpse into the film's editing rhythm, preserving a fleeting moment of the character's menacing presence across three distinct but nearly identical images.
