New Line Cinema released Freddy vs. Jason in August 2003, closing out a decade of development hell that had kept horror fans speculating since the late 1980s. Directed by Ronny Yu, the film brought together the two most durable slasher franchises in American cinema and became one of the studio's strongest performers that year, cementing its place as a genuine cultural event for genre audiences.

This cell, titled Jason, Shack, and Shack's Teammate, captures Ken Kirzinger as Jason Voorhees bearing down on Chris Gauthier's Shack and Zack Ward's Bobby Davis within the film's cornfield sequence. The frames, shot from an overhead or low angle amid dense green vegetation, are inverted in the photograph, and the middle frame carries a visible lens flare artifact — details that give this particular strip a distinctive character among surviving 35mm material from the production.
