The Garbage Pail Kids Movie was released in 1987 by Atlantic Releasing Corporation, adapted from the wildly popular Topps trading card series that had scandalized parents and delighted children throughout the mid-1980s. Directed by Rod Amateau, the film occupies a singular place in cult cinema history as one of the most aggressively strange children's properties ever committed to celluloid, blending practical creature effects with genuinely unsettling humor that ensured its notoriety would outlast its brief theatrical run.

This cell, titled Garbage Pail Kids, captures a group scene drawn from what appears to be a rejection or sorting sequence, with signs bearing the labels TOO SKINNY, TOO FAT, and TOO GROSS visible within the frame.
