Atlantic Releasing Corporation brought The Garbage Pail Kids Movie to theaters in August 1987, adapting the controversial Topps trading card series that had scandalized parents and delighted children throughout the mid-1980s. Directed by Rod Anicich, the film occupies a singular place in cult cinema as one of the most aggressively strange children's productions of its decade, blending practical creature effects with genuinely unsettling imagery that ensured its reputation would outlast its brief theatrical run.

This three-frame sequence, titled Dodger and Tangerine, captures a figure in blue set against a dark background with a cauldron-like vessel prominent in the composition. The strip runs rotated ninety degrees, and the third frame carries two circular light artifacts that partially interrupt the image, lending the cell a layered, almost painterly quality particular to surviving 35mm fragments from this production.
