Atlantic Releasing Corporation brought The Garbage Pail Kids Movie to theaters in August 1987, adapting the wildly controversial Topps trading card series that had scandalized parents and delighted children throughout the mid-decade. Directed by Rod Amateau, the film arrived at the height of the cards' cultural moment and was met with near-universal critical rejection, yet it has endured as a singular artifact of late-eighties outsider cinema, occupying a strange and committed cult following decades on.

This cell captures a repeated sequence featuring Dodger, the young protagonist, on the floor of what appears to be Tangerine's shop setting. The three frames hold an identical composition, with the third carrying a faint circular mark across the image, a small irregularity that gives this particular pull its own quiet character among surviving frames from the production.
