Miramax released Kill Bill: Vol. 1 in October 2003, marking Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited return to directing after a six-year absence following Jackie Brown. A love letter to martial arts cinema, spaghetti westerns, and exploitation film, it became a defining work of early 2000s American cinema and remains one of the most visually distinctive films of its decade.

This cell preserves the Kill Bill title card, presented three times in succession against a pure black background. Simple and stark, the title card functions as both announcement and declaration, establishing the film's bold visual grammar from its opening moments. It is a foundational image from one of cinema's most celebrated stylistic statements.
