FILM NOTES

Pulp Fiction was released by Miramax Films in October 1994 and arrived as a seismic event in American independent cinema. Quentin Tarantino's nonlinear crime anthology drew from pulp novels, spaghetti westerns, and French New Wave to produce something entirely its own. It revitalized careers, launched new ones, and permanently altered the landscape of studio-adjacent filmmaking throughout the decade.

This cell carries the confirmed title Mia Wallace and presents three consecutive frames from a single shot — a close profile of Uma Thurman bathed in deep blue-purple stage lighting, her hand raised to her face. The tight composition and repeated framing across all three frames give the strip an almost meditative rhythm, preserving a quiet, atmospheric moment from one of cinema's most iconic characters.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
