FILM NOTES

Pulp Fiction was released by Miramax Films in October 1994, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film arrived as a defining moment in American independent cinema, weaving interconnected stories of crime, consequence, and Los Angeles underworld life through a fractured, nonlinear structure. Its ensemble cast, sharp dialogue, and bold formal choices earned it the Palme d'Or at Cannes and an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, cementing its place as one of the most studied and celebrated films of its decade.

This cell, titled Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace, captures the two characters during their evening at Jack Rabbit Slim's, the film's iconic 1950s-themed restaurant. Across three sequential frames, Mia and Vincent are seen seated together, neon lighting casting the scene in warm color. The slight variations between frames reflect the natural rhythm of a single sustained moment, offering the collector a rare, intimate window into one of cinema's most memorable dinner sequences.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
