FILM NOTES

Pulp Fiction was released by Miramax Films in October 1994, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film arrived as a seismic event in American independent cinema, weaving interconnected stories of crime, violence, and dark comedy through a fractured narrative structure. Its Palme d'Or win at Cannes that year and subsequent Academy Award recognition for Best Original Screenplay cemented its place as one of the defining works of 1990s filmmaking.

This cell preserves the Pulp Fiction title card, presenting the film's name in bold yellow-orange lettering against a stark black background. The frame appears three times across the cell, offering multiple views of this instantly recognizable typographic moment that opens one of cinema's most celebrated films.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
