FILM NOTES

Pulp Fiction was released by Miramax Films in October 1994, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film arrived as a seismic moment in American independent cinema, weaving interconnected stories of crime, violence, and dark comedy through a fractured, non-linear structure. Its Palme d'Or win at Cannes that year announced Tarantino as a defining voice of his generation, and the film remains a touchstone of 1990s filmmaking.

This cell preserves three consecutive frames of the Pulp Fiction title card, presenting the film's name in bold yellow lettering against a stark black background. It is among the most recognizable title sequences in modern cinema, spare and direct, establishing the film's confident, irreverent tone before a single scene unfolds.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
