FILM NOTES

Pulp Fiction was released by Miramax Films in October 1994 and arrived as a defining moment in American independent cinema. Quentin Tarantino's interlocking crime narrative, shot by Roger Deakins' frequent collaborator Robert Richardson, revived nonlinear storytelling for a mainstream audience and earned the Palme d'Or at Cannes that same year. Its cultural footprint remains enormous three decades on.

This cell, titled Winston Wolfe and Jimmie, captures Harvey Keitel and Quentin Tarantino together in Jimmie's kitchen and dining area, the warm purple interior light giving the frames a distinctive domestic intimacy. All three frames share nearly identical composition, preserving a quiet, tense exchange between the two men in one of the film's more understated sequences.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
