FILM NOTES

Saint Seiya: Legend of Crimson Youth was released in Japan in July 1988 by Toei Animation, the third theatrical entry in the Saint Seiya franchise during its peak popularity. Produced alongside the television series, the film brought the mythology of Athena's saints to the big screen with expanded production values and a self-contained story centered on the god Apollo.

This cell presents Saori Kido across three sequential frames, each capturing her with flowing purple hair against a deep violet background. The composition shifts her placement from center to right frame while her raised finger remains a consistent focal point, suggesting a moment of divine declaration. As Athena's earthly vessel, Saori Kido anchors the film's central conflict, making this a meaningful piece of original 35mm animation art.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
