Labyrinth was released in 1986 by TriStar Pictures, produced by George Lucas and directed by Jim Henson in what would become one of his final feature films. A blend of live-action performance and elaborate puppetry from the Jim Henson Company, the film found its lasting audience through home video and has remained a touchstone of 1980s fantasy cinema.
