Labyrinth was released in 1986 by TriStar Pictures, produced by George Lucas and directed by Jim Henson. A blend of puppetry, practical effects, and fantasy storytelling, the film represented a ambitious creative collaboration between Henson's creature workshop and a major Hollywood studio. Though its initial box office performance was modest, Labyrinth has since earned a devoted following and stands as a defining artifact of 1980s fantasy filmmaking.

This cell, titled Jareth the Goblin King, captures David Bowie in character across three sequential frames set within a dimly lit stone interior. Bowie's signature wild blonde wig and elaborate costume are clearly visible, and the slight motion variation between frames confirms their consecutive nature, preserving a brief, uninterrupted moment of his iconic performance.
