FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in North American theaters in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment during the peak of the digital monster craze that defined turn-of-the-millennium children's entertainment. Assembled from three separate Japanese productions and condensed into a single feature, the film represented a bold theatrical gamble on an animated property competing directly with Pokémon's cinematic momentum. Its blend of action, humor, and genuine emotional weight earned it a devoted following that has only grown with time.

This three-frame sequence captures Kari Kamiya in a moment of visible distress, the low camera angle lending the scene an intimate, almost overwhelming emotional register. The continuous action across all three frames preserves a rare unbroken emotional beat, making this a particularly resonant piece of original 35mm exhibition material from the film.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
