Digimon: The Movie arrived in October 2000 from Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment, compiled from three separate Japanese Digimon short films and edited into a single theatrical feature for Western audiences. Released during the peak of the early 2000s anime boom, it served as a companion piece to the television series and remains a cultural touchstone for a generation of viewers who grew up alongside the franchise.
