FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in North American theaters in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment during the peak of the digital monster craze that had swept from Japan into Western pop culture. Assembled from three separate Japanese short films, it represented an ambitious attempt to bring the Digimon Adventure universe to the big screen, competing directly with the Pokémon film series and cementing the franchise's foothold with a generation of young audiences.

This cell presents Diaboromon across three near-consecutive frames, each capturing the villain from a low angle against a pale background, his dark branching appendages spreading outward and a yellow orb prominent in the composition. The slight positional variation between frames preserves a sense of motion, offering a rare sequential look at one of the film's most visually striking antagonists in original 35mm photography.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
