FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in North American theaters in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and produced through a collaboration between Toei Animation and Saban Entertainment. The film stitched together three separate Japanese Digimon shorts into a single feature, capitalizing on the franchise's peak cultural moment as it competed directly with Pokémon for the attention of a generation raised on digital monsters. It remains a time capsule of early 2000s anime localization.

This cell, titled Agumon and Tentomon, captures three consecutive frames from what appears to be an interior corridor or stairwell sequence, with strong diagonal shadow lines defining the background geometry. The slight animation progression across the three frames gives the cell a sense of movement, preserving a quiet moment between two of the original DigiDestined partners as they share the same environment.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
