FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in October 2000 through Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment, assembled from three separate Japanese Digimon short films edited into a single feature. Released during the peak of the franchise's American popularity, it captured a generation of children already devoted to the television series and served as a theatrical landmark for the property in the West. The film represents a distinct moment when anime-adjacent properties were crossing over into mainstream multiplex releases with genuine commercial ambition.

This cell carries the confirmed title Diaboromon and presents the character across three progressive framings within the same action sequence. Moving from a wide dynamic angle against industrial scaffolding to an increasingly tight composition, the frames culminate in a close view where Diaboromon's yellow tendrils and dark form are rendered with clarity. Cherubimon (Vice) shares the sequence, placing this cell within one of the film's more visually intense confrontations.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
