FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and produced through a collaboration between Toei Animation and Saban Entertainment. The film stitched together three separate Japanese Digimon shorts into a single theatrical release, capitalizing on the franchise's peak popularity during the monster-battle media wave of the late nineties and early 2000s. It remains a cultural marker for an entire generation of young audiences who encountered it during its brief theatrical window.

These three frames capture Tai Kamiya and Izzy Izumi bent over a screen, their postures urgent and focused. The repeated composition across all three cells places them squarely within the film's internet battle sequence, a tense, dialogue-driven stretch where the two rely on each other's instincts and technical knowledge to respond to a crisis unfolding in digital space.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
