FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in North American theaters in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and produced through a collaboration between Toei Animation and Saban Entertainment. The film stitched together three separate Japanese shorts into a single theatrical feature, arriving at the peak of the franchise's cultural momentum. It remains a notable artifact of the early 2000s anime crossover era, when properties like Digimon competed directly with Pokémon for theatrical and home video audiences.

This cell captures Tai Kamiya and Izzy Izumi in close proximity, consistent with the film's internet battle sequence against Diaboromon. Izzy's focus on the computer and the visible accessories associated with Tai place both characters in a recognizable moment of collaboration. The three sequential frames reflect the tight, repeated compositions typical of Toei's animation workflow during this period.
