FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in North American theaters in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and produced through a collaboration between Toei Animation and Saban Entertainment. Assembled from three separate Japanese Digimon short films, it represented the franchise's theatrical debut for Western audiences during the peak of the digital monster craze that rivaled Pokémon's cultural footprint. The film remains a notable artifact of early 2000s anime localization.

This cell captures Tai Kamiya in a sequence of three closely progressed animation frames, each presenting him from an inverted camera angle as he leans over a desk surface. His blue jacket, headphones, and star badge are consistently visible across all three frames, offering a rare look at the subtle incremental movement that brings hand-drawn animation to life.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
