FILM NOTES

Digimon: The Movie arrived in North American theaters in October 2000, distributed by Fox Kids and Saban Entertainment during the peak of the digital monster craze that briefly rivaled Pokémon's cultural dominance. Assembled from three separate Japanese productions and condensed into a single feature, the film represents a fascinating artifact of early 2000s anime localization, complete with a licensed pop-punk soundtrack that defined the era for an entire generation of young audiences.

This cell, titled Patamon, captures the small winged Digimon navigating a metal lattice structure against an open sky before appearing in profile alongside a suspended, glittering dark diamond form. The sequence closes with Diaboromon's distinctive silhouette echoing that same composition, the two figures sharing the frame in quiet, ominous counterpoint.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
