Shrek was released by DreamWorks Animation in May 2001 and marked a turning point in American animated filmmaking. Produced entirely in CGI, it challenged Disney's long dominance of the genre while simultaneously affectionating its conventions, earning the first ever Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

This cell, titled Snow White and Dwarves, captures Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs during the fairy-tale characters sequence, one of the film's most densely populated and visually inventive passages. Three successive frames present the same moment, offering the collector a rare opportunity to observe subtle movement across a single scene featuring these classic figures in their brief but memorable appearance alongside the film's central story.
