Shrek was released by DreamWorks Animation in May 2001 and marked a turning point in computer-animated feature filmmaking. Directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, the film subverted fairy tale conventions with sharp wit and genuine emotional depth, earning the inaugural Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Its cultural footprint proved enormous, launching one of animation's most successful franchises.

This cell captures Lord Farquaad in a continuous low-angle shot set within his imposing castle interior.
