DreamWorks Animation released Shrek in May 2001, marking a turning point for computer-generated feature filmmaking and offering a knowing, irreverent take on fairy tale conventions. Directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, the film became a cultural touchstone and launched one of animation's most successful franchises. Its blend of sharp humor, genuine heart, and technical ambition earned it the first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

This cell, titled Fiona, Shrek and Donkey, captures three consecutive 35mm frames from an outdoor sequence set among forest and rocky terrain. All three principal characters are present: Shrek voiced by Mike Myers, Princess Fiona voiced by Cameron Diaz, and Donkey voiced by Eddie Murphy, together during what appears to be a moment from their shared journey.
