DreamWorks Animation released Shrek in May 2001, marking a turning point in computer-generated feature filmmaking. Directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, the film challenged Disney's dominance in family animation and went on to win the first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Its irreverent humor and technical ambition made it a defining work of early twenty-first century cinema.

This cell, titled Dragon and Donkey, captures a moment from one of the film's most memorable interior sequences. Donkey and Dragon appear together in a low-lit, dungeon-like environment, the warm orange and red tones of the surrounding machinery casting dramatic shadows across the scene. It is a quiet but charged moment between two of the story's most beloved figures.
