DreamWorks Animation released Shrek in May 2001, marking a turning point in computer-animated feature filmmaking. Directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, the film challenged Disney's dominance in family animation and went on to win the first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Its irreverent humor and technical sophistication made it a defining work of the era.

This cell, titled Lord Farquaad, captures three consecutive 35mm frames from what appears to be a throne room sequence, with ornate stained-glass windows and decorative floor tiling visible in the background. Lord Farquaad is shown mid-gesture at a table, offering a rare close look at the interior staging and character animation of one of the film's central figures.
