Ghostbusters II arrived in June 1989 from Columbia Pictures, reuniting the original cast and creative team five years after the first film became a cultural phenomenon. Directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, it carried enormous anticipation into a crowded summer season. The film performed solidly at the box office and has since settled into a comfortable place in the canon of late-1980s studio comedy.

This cell captures Dr. Peter Venkman in what appears to be a quiet interior moment, the character reclined against a dark background with overhead light falling across him. Bill Murray's portrayal of Venkman defined a particular brand of sardonic charm throughout both films, and this frame preserves a still, unhurried instant from that performance on original 35mm.
