Columbia Pictures released Ghostbusters II in June 1989, reuniting the original cast and crew for a sequel to one of the most commercially successful comedies of the decade. Directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, the film arrived with enormous public anticipation and performed strongly at the box office, cementing the franchise as a defining piece of late-1980s popular culture.

This cell, titled Ecto-1, captures three consecutive 35mm frames of the Ecto-1A filmed from an overhead or near-overhead angle on a crowded city street at night. The surrounding lights and gathered crowds place the shot within a parade or street sequence, and the subtle exposure variation across the three frames preserves a genuine moment of the production as it unfolded.
