Ghostbusters II arrived in June 1989 from Columbia Pictures, reuniting director Ivan Reitman with the original cast five years after the first film became one of the highest-grossing comedies in Hollywood history. The sequel carried enormous commercial expectations and introduced the animated Slimer character more prominently into the franchise's visual identity, bridging the films with the concurrent animated television series and its associated merchandising.
This cell, titled No Ghost Logo, captures the franchise's iconic oval ghost symbol in what appears to be a title sequence or bumper card context, with a Slimer-like figure superimposed across the familiar design. The three frames document the logo across slightly varied exposure states, including a dissolve phase in which the oval ghost symbol appears without its red circle overlay, offering a rare look at the graphic element mid-transition.
