FILM NOTES

Beetlejuice arrived in March 1988 from Warner Bros., directed by Tim Burton in only his second feature film. The production marked a turning point in studio fantasy filmmaking, blending practical effects, dark comedy, and an anarchic visual sensibility that found an enormous audience and launched Burton into the Hollywood mainstream. Michael Keaton's performance in the title role became one of the defining comic turns of the decade.

This cell captures a continuous three-frame sequence featuring Harry the Hunter, identifiable by the wide-brimmed hat and the distinctive striped and patterned costume. The figure is seated in an interior setting alongside a large cylindrical prop, with the image preserved as an inverted negative. The three frames represent a brief but coherent moment of action from the same unbroken shot.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
