Pokémon: The Movie 2000 was released in North America by Warner Bros. Pictures in July 2000, following the unprecedented theatrical success of the first Pokémon film. Produced by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally by Miramax, it arrived at the height of the franchise's cultural dominance and remains a significant artifact of turn-of-the-millennium animation and merchandising history.

This cell, titled Ash, Pikachu and Maren, captures a charged outdoor sequence in which Ash clutches Pikachu as electric energy surrounds them both, with Maren and Tracey Sketchit visible reacting in the background. The three-frame progression documents subtle movement across a continuous shot, preserving performances voiced by Veronica Taylor, Ikue Ōtani, Rachael Lillis, Kayzie Rogers, and Ted Lewis.
