FILM NOTES

Hocus Pocus was released by Walt Disney Pictures in July 1993, directed by Kenny Ortega. Though it performed modestly at the box office during its theatrical run, the film found a devoted second life through home video and cable television, becoming a genuine seasonal touchstone for audiences who grew up in the 1990s. Shot on location in Salem, Massachusetts, it remains one of the more distinctive entries in Disney's live-action catalog from that decade.

This cell carries the confirmed title Winifred "Winnie" Sanderson and presents three sequential frames of Winifred in her signature costume, red hair prominent, caught in a lit interior setting with her hand raised near her face and her gaze directed toward the camera. The repetition across all three frames suggests a held moment of performance, preserving a characteristic gesture from one of the film's central figures.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
