Paramount Pictures released Top Secret! in June 1984, the third feature from the writing and directing team of Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker following their landmark Airplane! The film blends Cold War spy thriller parody with Elvis-era rock musical pastiche, showcasing Val Kilmer in his feature debut as American rock star Nick Rivers.
