FILM NOTES

Walt Disney Pictures released Lilo & Stitch in June 2002, a hand-drawn animated feature produced at the Florida studio during a period when traditional animation was facing increasing competition from computer-generated films. Written and directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, the film found both critical and commercial success, and its promotional campaign drew considerable attention for playfully inserting Stitch into trailers for classic Disney titles, including The Little Mermaid.

This cell comes from the Lilo & Stitch title card sequence within that Little Mermaid promotional trailer, presenting the Walt Disney Pictures Presents Lilo & Stitch logo against a plain black background. As a title card frame, it represents one of the most direct and legible pieces of the film's identity captured on 35mm release print material.
