Pixar Animation Studios released Cars 2 in June 2011, the studio's twelfth feature and a direct sequel to the beloved 2006 original. Shifting the action to an international spy thriller framework, the film followed the World Grand Prix racing circuit across globe-spanning locales. Though critically mixed, it performed strongly at the box office and expanded the Cars merchandise universe considerably, making production-used 35mm elements from the release genuinely scarce.

This cell, confirmed as Lightning McQueen Racing, captures a vivid merchandise or trackside display scene, with a red racing car positioned prominently above a yellow car bearing the number 5, all set against a dense, neon-lit background evoking the electric atmosphere of a race venue.
