Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies released The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in November 2004, bringing the beloved animated television series to the theatrical format for the first time. Directed by series creator Stephen Hillenburg, the film expanded the underwater world of Bikini Bottom into a feature-length adventure and became a significant commercial and cultural milestone for animation in the early 2000s.
This cell, titled SpongeBob SquarePants and Crowd, captures three sequential frames from what appears to be a public gathering in Bikini Bottom. The opening frame presents a wide shot of assembled residents against the characteristic blue underwater backdrop, while the following two frames move into an interior setting, bringing SpongeBob SquarePants into closer view within a warmly paneled environment.
