Paramount Pictures released The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in November 2004, bringing Nickelodeon's beloved animated series to the theatrical screen for the first time. Directed by series creator Stephen Hillenburg, the film expanded the world of Bikini Bottom into a full feature adventure while preserving the show's irreverent humor and visual wit. It remains a defining artifact of early 2000s animation and a milestone in the franchise's history.
