Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies released The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in November 2004, bringing the beloved animated television series to the theatrical format for the first time. Directed by series creator Stephen Hillenburg, the film expanded the world of Bikini Bottom into a full feature narrative while preserving the irreverent humor that defined the show. It remains a significant artifact of early 2000s animation and a touchstone for an entire generation of viewers.
This cell, titled SpongeBob SquarePants and Mr. Krabs, captures three sequential 35mm frames from what appears to be the grand opening ceremony of the Krusty Krab 2.
