Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies released The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in November 2004, bringing the beloved animated television series to the theatrical format for the first time. Directed by series creator Stephen Hillenburg, the film expanded the world of Bikini Bottom for a wide audience while preserving the irreverent humor that defined the show. It remains a significant artifact of early 2000s animation and popular culture.

This cell, titled Phil by the operator, captures Frank, known to fans as Incidental 6, across three consecutive frames of continuous action. Frank registers a moment of shock or alarm, mouth open and eyes wide, set against a deep purple and blue interior environment. The slight variations across the trio of frames preserve the natural rhythm of the animated performance.
