New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, launching one of the most ambitious fantasy trilogies in Hollywood history. Shot largely in New Zealand, the film redefined large-scale epic filmmaking and became a cultural landmark of early 2000s cinema.

This cell, titled Legolas and Frodo, captures three frames from the film's theatrical trailer, each depicting the Fellowship crossing a snow-covered mountain pass, almost certainly Caradhras. The dramatic rocky peaks and the title text The Fellowship of the Ring are visible across the frames. Orlando Bloom as Legolas and Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins are among the Fellowship members present in this striking location sequence.
